Freediving courses

The word “apnea” , also known as freediving, comes from the Greek word *ápnoia* and means “without breathing.”

As for our activity, we define freediving as the voluntary suspension of pulmonary ventilation for a certain period of time, during which we carry out different sports or leisure activities, generally while remaining submerged.

It is a unique sport that involves technical learning, physical preparation, and, to a great extent, controlling the relaxation of both body and mind. All of this, together with instinct and the natural abilities that humans possess for breath-hold diving, offers practitioners the following possibilities and benefits:

  • To connect with the sea and the underwater world in the most natural, athletic, and ecological way.
  • To gain internal awareness of our body and mind through the sensations and experiences produced by practicing apnea, giving us effective mental and emotional self-control.
  • Continuous apnea training is a great source of physical and mental health, as it involves comprehensive conditioning work that is also reflected in improved physical appearance.
  • We increase athletic potential, enjoyment, and safety in the practice of any sport or activity carried out while holding one’s breath.
